Finally the selection is over! the successful candidates have emerged. It was a tough one for the selection. I want to say a big thank you to all our associates who applied for the End of Year CSR programme. I want to assure you all that you are winners! We only have to choose six people out of the lot. We had to increase the number to six after seeing how important it is to empower more people through this CSR programme. But you know what? the CSR continues! It does not end here. If you did not make the list this time, you will definitely make it next time.

Good evening my wonderful bakers and cake lovers. I know a lot of people might be wondering why I choose to report or showcase events after they are long gone. Now hear my reason: I don't run a gossip blog! my line of reporting is real ans substantial. this means that it makes sense as long as there is need of it in life. That is why you will see a post here have more views, likes and comments as the day passes by. They are timeless!

On this note I want to present to you my wonderful readers, the events that took place on the recently concluded ICES convention in Lagos. It was da bomb! I was still busy counting my blessings for attending that event. I got to see so many lovely people I have been longing to see face to face. Now that was a moment of hugs and kisses! i can't count how many, it was just awesome to see lots of bakers I have not met in person before then. Ok; enough of me and the bakers laughing

My beautiful bakers and cake lovers, You'll recall sometime ago I showcased a series of African bakers and their works during the Africa Day Cake Art Collaboration. This time, the host, Sweet Cake TV Online  came up again with this beautiful event to mark our nation's 56th independence day celebration.

The Nigerian Cake Art Collaboration is a virtual exhibition of creative sugar works to celebrate Nigerian Independence Day by selected cake artists in Nigeria and in the wider Diaspora. The showcase was intended to show aspects of Nigerian culture to the world in the form of amazing and educational sugar and cake art.

The aim of the collaboration is to inspire Nigeria cake artists to pursue excellence in their craft, to celebrate Nigeria as a country and appreciate everything we have and also to showcase the talents of Nigerian cake artists to the world and make them more visible in the global cake industry.

On Nigeria's 56th independence day celebration, Sweet Cake TV Online hosted the Nigerian Cake Art Collaboration contest and Omolabake Abrigo of Cake Expression presented this award-winning cake to make Nigeria @ 56

I decided to showcase different pictures showing the making of this wonderful cake. You see? when I say Naija bakers rock, I mean it in every sense.

Just check it out...
